Anne B Massey, a Greenville resident for 38 years, started A.B. MASSEY CONSTRUCTION INC. in 1995.  In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s Anne worked with others in the construction industry.  Tasks included framing, remodeling, vinyl siding, trimming houses, building decks and building porches.  She has hands on experience in all aspects of residential construction.

In late 1994 she got her Residential Contractors License and has been building custom and speculative homes in Greenville and its surrounding areas.  She is very involved in the building of her homes.  Most all of the work is subtracted out, but Anne is on the jobsite everyday overseeing and making sure everything is done to her specifications.  Most of her subcontractors have been associated with her for many years.  She has been in the local Home Builders Association since 1995 and in 2004 was voted Builder of the Year. 

Anne has been on several councils and has been a member of the Better Business Bureau for nine years.  She has been on the advisory board (Construction Department) at Pitt Community College for five years.  She got her Green Certified Professional designation in 2009.  In the summer of 2011 Anne was certified as a BPI (Building Performance Institute) Analyst.

Anne has been building E-300 homes from the beginning.  In 1995, her 1^st home was certified and every home since has also been certified.  E-300 is an established program from Greenville Utilities that has been in the Greenville area for over 25 years and promotes energy efficiency. She has also partnered with Energy Star.

Anne has been building “Green” homes since the beginning by always trimming waste, cardboard recycling, and using OSB board and recycled material where possible.  Anne achieves her energy efficiency homes by properly installing house wrap, upgrading HVAC systems, grade 1 insulation installed, radiant barrier roof sheathing, styrofoam board all knee wall to enclose the thermal envelope and using energy star products.  Also Anne makes sure to implement the use of 6-mil. Polyethylene vapor barrier on 100% of the crawl space.
